By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Westborough-based Ascend Elements has opened their new electric vehicle battery recycling plant in Poland. A joint operation with the Poland-based company Elemental Strategic Materials, the new AE plant will be able to process about 28,000 EV battery packs every year. And the two companies are already working on another similar plant in Germany. The news is however somewhat of a swan song for Westborough, as AE is moving their headquarters this month out of Westborough into Devens.
