WESTBOROUGH – Town Meeting voters in Westborough have approved funding to restore two town jobs that were previously cut from this year’s budget.

According to the Community Advocate, the two administrative assistant positions had been eliminated earlier in the year, causing delays in the operations of the Planning, Health, and Finance departments.

At last week’s Town Meeting, voters passed the article by a 225 to 86 vote. The funding will come from money previously budgeted for Council on Aging drivers, a service now handled by the Worcester Regional Transit Authority.
