WESTBOROUGH – There has been a change in the date for the Westborough Special Town Meeting focused on potential upgrades to Neary Elementary School.
Town officials say the meeting has been moved from February 28 to Monday, March 2 at 6 p.m. due to a conflict with a student performance scheduled for the original date. The Special Town Meeting will give residents the opportunity to weigh in on next steps for Neary Elementary after voters previously rejected a $108 million plan.
Officials are now putting forward three reportedly less expensive options, which include renovating Neary Elementary, expanding Finn Elementary and closing Neary, or expanding both Trottier Middle School and Finn Elementary.
