A person of interest is in custody for a fire set last night in the Westborough Police station on West Main. Fire Chief Patrick Purcell and Police Chief Todd Minardi say the fire was started around 820pm. The station was immediately evacuated although Police Chief Minardi says police operations never stopped. Fire Chief Purcell says the fire was held in check by the sprinkler system and firefighters were quickly able to get it out. He says while there is minimal fire damage there is about $250,000 in water damage.
