Westborough Police Help Bust $2.6M Car Theft Ring

By MyFM’s Claire BeverlyWe’re learning more about the break-up of a car theft ring that Westborough Police helped to bust open. As we reported Monday, Westborough detectives worked for a year with state, federal and Brockton Police on what they called Operation Hellcat serving multiple warrants in the thefts totaling over $2.6 million in high-end cars. The Community Advocate reports among the vehicles were three Q50 SUVs stolen from Herb Chambers Infiniti in February and a Mercedes-Benz station wagon stolen from Autobahn USA last month. More than 12 people have been arrested so far with more arrests likely.
