Westborough Legion Sponsoring Trip to Vietnam War Memorial Replica on July 25

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The American Legion Stowell-Parker Post 0163 in Westborough along with the Veterans Advisory Board are sponsoring a trip to see the Vietnam War Memorial replica when it travels to Devens July 25.  All veterans are welcome to attend, along with spouses. Seniors in Westborough who need help with transportation are getting a boost thanks to a new partnership between the Council on Aging and the Worcester Regional Transit Authority to expand van service for out-of-town medical appointments such as to Worcester and Marlborough. The Community Advocate reports the partnership, which starts July 1, will help fill a need for the Council on Aging which has three vans that can only be used for out-of-town grocery store trips, but not for medical appointments.
