WESTBOROUGH – Westborough’s elementary schools could soon see redistricting changes as officials look to balance enrollment and make better use of available classroom space.
Earlier this month, a consultant presented findings to the School Committee showing uneven enrollment across the district’s elementary schools. According to the Community Advocate, Armstrong Elementary currently has more than 100 students than Fales Elementary, the newest school, while Hastings Elementary has about 50 more students than Fales.
Officials say the review is part of a broader study aimed at improving the distribution of students among the schools. Several opportunities for community feedback are expected before any decisions are made.
