WESTBOROUGH – Westborough has received a $130,000 grant aimed at improving pedestrian and bicycle access throughout the community. The funding, provided by the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, will support the creation of an Active Transportation Plan—a blueprint intended to give residents more ways to travel without relying on cars.

According to the Community Advocate, the plan’s goals include adding and upgrading crosswalks, filling gaps in the sidewalk network, and expanding bicycle infrastructure. Town officials say the public will have opportunities to weigh in, with workshops and surveys expected in the coming months.
