Hopkinton Youth Soccer officials say vandals did about $8000 in damage to their equipment last month. Officials say a few days after they held a clinic last month they discovered someone had shredded all their nets and damaged a goal frame, with HYS officials telling the Hopkinton Independent that damage to the goal would have been difficult to incur so the act was clearly intentional. The organization was forced to do an expensive expediting of new equipment to get the season started over the weekend.
