By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Uxbridge is holding a Special Town Meeting on June 18 to figure out how to fund the school district. At last week’s Annual Town Meeting, voters said no to the district’s proposed $27.6 million budget for 2025 with the superintendent saying it was possible some voters had mistakenly believed the district could be funded monthly while the budget was being reviewed, inadvertently leaving no funding at all starting July 1. Meanwhile the Town Finance Committee is holding a Public Hearing on June 4.
