UXBRIDGE – Winter maintenance efforts in Uxbridge will soon get a boost thanks to new state funding.
The Uxbridge Department of Public Works has been awarded a $210,000 grant through the state’s Shared Streets and Spaces Program to purchase a Bombardier sidewalk plow and snowblower.
Officials say the equipment will help crews clear sidewalks more efficiently during snowstorms while reducing the need for local capital spending. The grant fully supports the purchase as part of the town’s ongoing infrastructure improvement efforts.
