By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Uxbridge Police Department is throwing a retirement party for their K9 Bear. Bear began his career with Uxbridge in 2015 and through his work with Uxbridge as well as SWAT teams and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council, K9 Bear is credited with taking kilos of narcotics off the streets, apprehending many dangerous criminals and tracking and locating countless citizens at risk. The community is invited to say “Happy Retirement” to Bear on January 13 from 2-3pm at the police station.
