By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – An Uxbridge man will spend a year in prison after pleading guilty to defrauding the US government through a scheme involving the Department of Defense. The US Attorney’s Office says Thomas Bouchard was also ordered to pay nearly $500,000. Bouchard pleaded guilty in 2022 to conspiracy and theft for getting a friend hired through the U.S. Army Soldier Systems. But prosecutors say the friend never actually worked and the two took dozens of government-funded vacations and charged for false travel expenses.
