By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Uxbridge High School has been awarded a $142,000 Skills Capital Grant from the state’s Workforce Skills Cabinet, which looks to align education with workforce economic development. The money will go toward renovating labs, updating computer hardware and software, and purchasing new industry-standard machinery and tools. Uxbridge High has now received seven Skills Capital Grants totaling more than $990,000 since 2018. The grants go to schools that are demonstrating partnerships with local businesses.
