UXBRIDGE – Several roads in Uxbridge are set to receive upgrades following the award of a $400,000-plus grant from the state.
According to town officials, the MassDOT Complete Streets Grant will fund projects on Pulaski Street, Whitin Street, Linwood Street, Hecla Street, and Cross Street.
The planned improvements include rebuilding sidewalks, adding ADA-compliant curb ramps, installing new crosswalks, and adding detectable warning panels with flashing beacons for pedestrian safety. The grant will also provide for the installation of new bicycle racks.
