It’s the last official week of work for Upton Town Manager Joseph Laydon who earlier this month announced his resignation effective August 29 after he was chosen as Town Administrator for Bellingham. The Upton Select Board has appointed DPW Director Dennis Westgate as Interim Town Manager effective August 30 while they put together a Town Manager Screening Committee to select the next one. In addition to the committee the Upton Select Board is also planning to use a recruiting consulting firm.
