MEDWAY – Two people charged in connection with the abuse of two toddlers at a Medway childcare center last winter have pleaded guilty.

Medway Police say Anthony Barron and Caleigh Kent pleaded guilty Monday to charges stemming from the investigation into abuse at Bright Path Child Care Center. Both were sentenced to six months in jail, with the sentences suspended for two years. They will be on probation during that period, meaning a violation could result in the jail sentences being imposed.

Police say the families of the two victims agreed to the sentence. As part of the case, Barron and Kent will also be permanently prohibited from working in childcare or elderly care.
