Still no swimming at Hopkinton State Park’s upper and lower beaches due to high levels of bacteria, but Sandy Beach is reportedly safe for swimming. The Town’s Health Department director confirms to the Hopkinton Independent that the latest water quality report from Sandy Beach shows safe levels as they have all summer with the Town educating users who are doing a good job cleaning up after dogs and babies and officials monitoring for algaes. He says it’s all more difficult to manage at the State Park.
