Two Charged After Early-Morning Car Break-Ins in Hopkinton

HOPKINTON – Two people are facing charges following a series of attempted car break-ins in Hopkinton early Friday morning.

Hopkinton Police say officers were called to the Constitution Court area around 3 a.m. after reports that two individuals were pulling on car door handles and peering into vehicle windows. When police arrived, they located the suspects and determined that at least one item had been taken from a nearby car.

According to police, one of the suspects was found in possession of stolen property and is now facing charges including larceny and several additional offenses. The second individual was identified as a juvenile. He was released to his parents at the scene but has been ordered to appear in Juvenile Court, with formal charges still pending.

Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity immediately.
