MILFORD – Fire officials in Milford are continuing to investigate a two-alarm fire that destroyed a home on Medway Road Saturday.
A family of five and their three dogs were able to escape safely, but their cat died in the fire. Fire Chief Mark Nelson said crews were already tied up on two separate calls at the time, leaving just a two-person team as the first to respond.
That initial crew contained much of the fire before additional firefighters from Hopedale, Medway, Franklin, and Hopkinton arrived to assist.
