At their January 23rd meeting, the Milford Democratic Town Committee (MDTC) elected Zach Trulby-Wright as Chair, by acclamation. A Milford resident for three years, and a steadfast environmental advocate, Mr. Trulby-Wright is a Cyber Security Consultant in the area of secrets management at scale.  During his tenure as a MDTC member, he canvassed for School Committee member Brendan Rickert, and State Senator Becca Rausch, in their successful campaigns. Trulby-Wright also serves as a Representative Town Meeting member for Precinct 1.

“I’d like to thank former Chair, Lauren Wilton, who consistently demonstrated her integrity and leadership, championing the fight for hybrid accessibility modernization, whether at Town Hall or at the Democratic State Convention.  I hope to build on her success, and increase government transparency and committee communication”, Trulby-Wright said.

Trulby-Wright replaces Attorney Lauren M. Wilton, who stepped down after her appointments to the Massachusetts Disability Law Center (DLC)’s Board of Directors, and the Milford Finance Committee.

“It was an honor to serve as Chair since April 2021.  I’m grateful to Zach for taking on this responsibility, so that I may focus on serving the DLC and Town of Milford, while continuing to advocate for systemic change to ensure that laws, policies and practices support accessibility and equity for the disabled community and beyond,” Wilton said. “Zach infuses the MDTC with his enthusiasm and will no doubt modernize the MDTC with his technological expertise.”

Committee membership is open to any Milford resident registered as a Democrat.  Anyone interested in joining can find more information about upcoming meetings and events through the Milford DTC’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages, @MilfordMaDTC, or by emailing [email protected].
