By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School is getting an $800,000 grant from the state’s Career Technical Initiative program. In all $13.4 million was awarded to 21 organizations to train jobseekers for careers in high-demand trades in construction and manufacturing. The Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development was at Tri County for the statewide announcement. Tri County will use the grant to train 110 participants for jobs in HVAC, Culinary, Automotive Technology, Carpentry, and Welding.
