The state’s new free community college program is underway. The Governor held an event Thursday at MassBay Community College to officially launch the MassReconnect program which begins for the fall semester. Tuition will be free at all 15 community colleges in the state for students over the age of 25 who have lived in the state for at least a year, and don’t already have a college degree. The Governor says one of the goals is boosting the local economies with a well-trained and educated workforce.
