By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A new study reportedly confirms that Westborough overextended its wastewater treatment abilities when issuing permits for the past several years. The Community Advocate cites the study commissioned by the Department of Public Works for the Westborough Wastewater Treatment plant which is also used by Shrewsbury and Hopkinton. Earlier this year the town put a moratorium on any new permits through at least spring 2025 while the town studies the problem and weighs potential solutions.
