Some new high school graduation guidelines have been approved by the state board tasked with replacing the purpose of the MCAS tests which voters elected to do away with last fall. On Tuesday the board voted 8-1 to approve new interim regulations which will start with the class of 2026. The Worcester Business Journal reports they include some specific courses in English language arts, math and science and in 2027 will also include U.S. history. These are just the interim rules – the final ones are due by 2026.
