A woman from Southborough has reportedly been killed in a snowmobile crash in Maine. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife says on Friday afternoon Stefanie Cappello was on a snowmobile trail with a group of nine snowmobiles, when she lost control in a turn and went off the trail into a tree and was thrown from the snowmobile. The crash remains under investigation but the initial crash investigation by the Maine Warden Service indicates “operator inexperience” was a factor in the crash.
