SOUTHBOROUGH – A Special Town Meeting has been scheduled to give Southborough voters new options for the future of Neary Elementary School. Earlier this year, voters rejected a $108 million proposal that would have upgraded the building and consolidated schools.
According to The Community Advocate, the Special Town Meeting will be held on February 28 and will focus on discussing less expensive alternatives. The warrant will include five separate articles, each outlining a different potential path forward for Neary Elementary.
Town officials are still in the process of determining the projected costs for each option, which are expected to be shared ahead of the meeting to help voters make informed decisions.
