SOUTHBOROUGH – Southborough will be holding a Special Town Meeting to give residents a voice in what happens next for Neary Elementary School after voters earlier this year rejected a $108 million plan to upgrade the building and consolidate schools. According to the Community Advocate, the meeting is scheduled for February 28 and will focus on discussing new, less expensive options.
There will be five articles on the warrant, each presenting voters with a different path forward for the school. Town officials say they are still working to determine the projected costs associated with each of the five options, which will be shared as part of the discussion at the meeting.
