Some Hopkinton police officers have completed some special scenario-based training using the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office’s Mobile Training Center.
Sheriff Peter Koutoujian says 34 officers from Hopkinton and Ashland together completed the week of training last week helping officers reinforce skills and techniques the Sheriff calls critical to effective policing particularly around communication and de-escalation in both business and residential settings. The officers also participated in an active shooter scenario.
