GRAFTON — A proposal to build a solar energy facility is being reviewed by town officials.

Plans call for about 1,700 solar panels as part of a 3-megawatt solar farm on land owned by industrial manufacturer Wyman-Gordon. Company officials told the Planning Board the project would repurpose underutilized land within the facility’s property.

According to The Community Advocate, all electricity generated by the panels would be used by the Wyman-Gordon plant as part of efforts to improve sustainability.
