The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is investigating after human skeletal remains were found by firefighters dousing a fire near the Mass Pike last week. Firefighters from Wayland and Framingham were dealing with the Thursday night fire near Exit 117 when they came across the remains. The DA’s Office tells the Daily News preliminary information indicates the remains had been there for several months and so far there is no sign of foul play. A state forensic anthropologist will be taking on the case.
