Six Hopkinton first responders have received a certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. The Town Manager says the training was made possible through a Mental Health Awareness Training grant awarded to Hopkinton Youth & Family Services. Two first responders each from Fire, Police, and Dispatch/Communications were certified to train their teams first and then will train other town departments and organizations adding to about 250 people over the next two years. Participants were Robert Savolt, Kevin Riess, Dan Smith, Shayne Ward, Augusto Diaz Jr., and Robert Ekross.
