By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A public hearing is reportedly scheduled for next week in relation to a Hopkinton Police Officer on administrative leave due to his reported knowledge of a former cop accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. Hop News reports Tuesday, January 16 the Select Board is set to discuss Sergeant Tim Brennan, who has been on leave since his testimony regarding former Deputy Chief Jay Porter who is indicted for child rape. Brennan’s testimony suggests the victim told him about it a few years later but asked him not to report it to anyone; that non-reporting may go against department policy.
