FRANKLIN – A major road closure is now in effect in Franklin as crews begin a culvert replacement project on Prospect Street.
The roadway is closed between Bubbling Brook Road and the final entrance to Nicholas Drive, with additional closures in place on Washington Street and near Lake Street.
Town officials say residents will still be able to access their homes but will not be able to drive through the construction zone.
The project is expected to last several weeks, and officials are asking motorists to plan for delays and be patient with police officers directing traffic around the work area.
