GRAFTON – A social media trend known as the “Door Kick Challenge” has made its way into MetroWest, with Grafton Police confirming at least one local incident. The trend involves teenagers aggressively kicking or striking doors late at night, then running away while recording the encounter in hopes of capturing a resident’s reaction for social media.

Police are strongly warning against participating, stressing that what may seem like a harmless prank can carry serious consequences. Officers say those involved could face criminal charges, and there is also a real risk of a dangerous or violent reaction from homeowners startled in the middle of the night.
