Work is underway to plan for a possible new police station in Franklin. On Wednesday the Police Station Building Committee had their first meeting, first being sworn in by the Town Clerk and then getting a crash course in the process from the Town Administrator. Franklin Matters says the Committee learned that choosing a site will be a major task before even putting together designs and funding. They say while the building itself takes about two years to build, the whole process could take between three and five years.
