MILFORD – Pathway to a Better Life is seeking volunteers to help staff its cold-weather shelter this winter.

The shelter operates on nights when temperatures drop below 30 degrees. Organizers say volunteer schedules are very flexible, and even minimal availability is appreciated.

Training sessions for new volunteers will be held in November and December at St. Mary’s Church in Milford.

Since launching in 2019, Pathway to a Better Life has expanded its operations from 20 open nights serving 31 guests to 44 nights serving 167 guests — and the need, they say, continues to grow.
