HOPKINTON – Drivers should expect another overnight closure at the Interstate 90 and Interstate 495 interchange. From 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday, both the I-495 northbound and southbound ramps connecting to I-90 westbound will be closed as part of ongoing construction.
MassDOT says traffic will be detoured onto I-90 eastbound, with drivers turning around at Exit 111 (Route 9). The closures are part of a multi-year reconstruction project aimed at improving safety at the heavily traveled interchange, which has historically experienced a high number of accidents.
