WESTBOROUGH – Some demolition work on the I-495/I-90 Interchange Improvement Project will affect Westborough drivers for a few nights later this week.
MassDOT will temporarily close Flanders Road between Washington Street and Connector Road while crews demolish a section of the I-495 bridge over Flanders. Officials say the work is part of ongoing improvements at the interchange.
The closure and detours will be in place the nights of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 6pm until 6am the following morning. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time overnight.
The official detour has you using Route 9 between Coslin Drive and Connector Road. MassDOT reminds motorists to follow posted signage and use caution in work zones.
