Eleven people in Milford have overdosed on fentanyl-laced cocaine since January. The Milford Police Family Services Unit says the latest one was on Saturday and among those 11 is one person who died. One Detective says in his interactions people believe they are only “recreational cocaine users” but they are actually hooked on fentanyl and don’t realize it. And police say people who primarily use stimulants like cocaine may not have an opioid tolerance, making them more susceptible to fentanyl overdoses.
