By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Operation Backpack is underway at the Hockomock Area YMCA. The YMCA says their goal is to provide fully stocked backpacks to school kids in their 15-town service area before the fall school year begins. New supplies and backpacks are requested now through August 9th. Supplies can be for elementary, middle school, and high school students including pencil boxes, binders, notebooks and folders. Donation bins are located at all Hockomock Area YMCA facilities. They are also looking for sponsors.
