MILFORD – Milford’s lawsuit from a former police chief is reportedly now in mediation. Former chief and current Select Board member Tom O’Loughlin sued the town and some Select Board members after they didn’t renew his contract claiming among other things defamation for releasing a letter about him to local media. Patch reports last month both sides agreed to move a pre-trial conference to August while undergoing mediation to potentially avoid a trial. The Select Board is set to meet about it this afternoon.
