Old Stone Wall In Franklin Requested By Solar Company To Be Demolished

A proposed solar array in Franklin could require taking down one of the Town’s old stone walls. The Franklin Planning Board is holding a public hearing on September 11 to discuss an application to tear down the stone walls off of Upper Union Street as requested by VS Union Solar Smart, LLC. In addition to removing 30 feet of the wall they would then build an access drive to a ground mounted solar facility. You can see copies of the plan in the Franklin Department of Planning & Community Development office.
