By My FM’s Claire Beverly – Overall real estate activity in Norfolk County was down in 2023 as compared to 2022. Register of Deeds William P. O’Donnell says the total number of deeds and mortgages recorded was down 21% from 2022 to 2023. He says there were just a lot fewer properties on the market while at the same time interest rates have been rising. And he says sale prices were down as well, with the average price for both commercial and residential property down 8% from 2022 to 2023.
