No decision yet as to whether Franklin Town officials will ask residents for a tax override to help fund the town and schools. The town’s Joint Budget Subcommittee met Wednesday night to continue discussing the town and school budgets and the override process. Several citizens showed up to show support for an override following a grassroots effort to drum up support for it. The Town Council will discuss it when they meet on August 16 and the Joint Committee will likely meet again in October.
