No Bail For Former Franklin Man Who Allegedly Murdered Estranged Wife

FRANKLIN – No bail for a former Franklin man awaiting trial for allegedly murdering his estranged wife. Thursday a Norfolk Superior Court judge denied a bail request from Brendon Owen who is accused of killing Shirley Branco in December 2021 as well as allegedly  assaulting her mother and then allegedly setting fire to Branco’s home. Meanwhile The Franklin Observer reports Owen was also charged with violating a court order by attempting to contact his daughter who prosecutors say did not want to talk to him.
