WESTBOROUGH – Westborough’s new trash and recycling transfer station is officially open and operating next to the previous facility. Town officials say the updated site is designed to be a safer and more efficient location for residents, with improved traffic flow and accessibility.
The station is limited to residents with valid Health Department permits, with no commercial vehicles allowed, and features single-stream recycling, allowing paper, cardboard, plastic, and glass to be combined, along with a separate area for metals. The Town Manager says the new layout should significantly reduce congestion.
