By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A new ramp configuration is coming to the I-495 / Mass Pike Interchange this weekend. MassDOT says weather permitting, in the overnight hours of Friday into Saturday, exit 106 from the Mass Pike Eastbound onto 495 Southbound will be shifted to its final location and the new temporary off-ramp closed. The new ramp is about a third of a mile west of the temporary one. Overall, MassDOT is replacing the whole interchange, eliminating the old toll booth and weaving areas, improving ramp spacing and lane alignment and building several new bridges. It is all set to take until 2027 to complete.
