HOPKINTON – Another major traffic shift is beginning as work continues on the reconstruction of the I-495/I-90 interchange.
I-90 eastbound traffic has already been moved onto a temporary alignment that is expected to remain in place until the middle of 2027. The next phase involves shifting I-495 northbound traffic onto a new temporary alignment while crews remove the current closure configuration on the highway.
That work is expected to continue through November.
For the next three nights, from 11 PM to 5 AM, the ramp from I-90 eastbound to I-495 northbound will be closed. Drivers will be detoured onto I-495 southbound before turning around to access I-495 northbound.
