By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – There’s a new leader at the Westborough-based location of a national effort toward more US microchip manufacturing. The Northeast Microelectronics Coalition, aka NEMC Hub, at MassTech has announced the hiring of Mark Halfman as Hub director. Halfman has over 20 years of experience in commercializing the tech sector with a lot of time in Silicon Valley. The NEMC Hub is a network of more than 170 Northeast companies and organizations. It launched last year out of the 2022 Federal CHIPS and Science Act.
